Career Transition Workshop

The Intuitive Path to a Career of Service and Fulfillment

***Coming Soon***

If you are here, considering this career workshop series, then you are part of a small but growing, passionate and dynamic movement of people. We are people who feel called to do something more – for ourselves, for our client group, for our community, or for the globe.

This 6-week series is a program of Creative Transitions. Our mutual vision is of a world where individuals can find or create work that is fulfilling and meaningful, work that is in line with your values and moves towards creating a world we all want to live in.

That is what this workshop series is about. Finding the career path that brings out the best in you, so that you may in turn bring your energy, ideas, passion, and discipline to who or what you are called to serve.

Sessions

First Session introduces participants to more intuitive, dynamic ways of knowing. We explore different types of intuition, and seek to answer the question: ‘how can I trust my intuition when making big life and career decisions?”

Session Two to Four provides each participant with an opportunity to discover new insight about (and strategies towards) their career vision by drawing upon the power of ‘coaching circles’.  Each session will be devoted to an individual member’s particular challenge. Other participants will act as coaches through a structured experience led by the facilitator.

These coaching circles were created by renowned social change leader Otto Scharmer, and have proven to be invaluable agents of personal and group change around the world. What is more, as coaches you will discover important insights about yourself and your own vision as you seek to help other members.

Final Session covers the ‘Seven Things I Wish I had Known About’ about life and career change drawn from a lifetime of helping people and organizations achieve sustainable change. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on these skills to see what resonates with their situation and experience, and to add their own insights.

Corey Scott, M.A.

Corey Scott, M.A.

Corey Scott M.A. is an organization consultant, facilitator, trainer, career and leadership coach, and humble change leader. He is a masters graduate from Concordia University’s Human Systems Intervention program, part of the Applied Sciences department. This world-renowned program trains process consultants in individual and group learning, as well as change theories and methods. He has over ten years experience as a career counselor, and fifteen years in training, facilitation and change initiatives.

Corey writes: “My work is about helping individuals (and organizations) to move from ‘stuck’ positions where they perceive limited options, to a place of greater awareness where they can perceive multiple opportunities and understand the pathways they can take to make these opportunities reality. “

“My approach differs from most coaching programs in that I emphasize intuitive, dynamic ways of knowing to help my clients develop a clear vision of their future. At the same time, I help clients develop a stronger self-awareness, and an appreciation for how the systems (family, work, social circle) of which they are a part impact the change they are seeking to create. Once my clients have developed a clear and compelling vision of their future career, we drill down into the principles, structures, and practices required to enact their vision. We work together closely as we co-develop an action plan and stay on top of the plan until its realization.”
